That time of year is quickly approaching and it looks to be a scorcher. British scientist have released a study claiming 2009 may be in the top five warmest years in recorded history. Bad time not to have cold air handy!
Calling your air conditioning and heating company during the spring months and scheduling a check up / tune up is a better idea than waiting till the summer months are upon us. Schedules are alot less dense, and prices may be lower before the mad dash to fix everyones air conditioning begins. Not to mention, who wants to wait extra hours or days to see a technician.
Vetting the company you call is recommended. Excellent sources are the Better Business Bureau, Registrar of Contractors (Arizona) or other state licsensing board, Air conditioning contractors of America, or good old fashioned recommendations from your friends or family. Things to look for are licsensing, general liability insurance, and state business filings (secretary of state usually handles this).
